This is the "dirty" tap water.

Hokay, here's tha earf.... No in all seriousness.... Last night before I was getting ready for bed, to so I could get up in the middle of the night to do my paper route in the puring rain and sleet while I'm supposed to be enjoying peaceful slumber, I went to fill up a water bottle with some water so I could mix some Crystal Light Fruit Punch for this morning.

I went over to the kitchen sink, instead of the filtered water despiser on the front of our refrigerator, because the filtered water is slow and I am impatient, and I never really cared much about whether the city water had fluoride and whatnot in it.

Well, I filled up the water bottle to the top and didn't pay much attention to the new liquid contents of my water bottle. I was getting ready to mix in the Crystal Light when I held up the bottle and noticed in the light that the water was cloudy. In fact, it looked like skim milk.

"Hmmm", I thought to myself. WTF!?!

I poured out the water and made my way to the refrigerator. Like I said, I've never been much of a "OMG, I have to ONLY drink bottled water or I might just die" type of person. But this occasion got me to thinking. So I started to fill my water bottle up with filtered water from the refrigerator, I could already tell the difference.

This is the "clean" filtered water.

Sooo, because I am still living with the rents, at least till I am ready to move down to NC full time and live with the GF (next school year), I filed a verbal complaint with the fine owners of this humble abode - "WTF!" I literally asked my parents "WTF?" It seemed to me that there was a very clear (or not so much clear - as in the transparency, in case you missed the pun) issue with our city water. Well, the response I received wasn't exactly what I expected, it was more like "I supposed that the filtered water actually is better." Well yea! I figured that much out.

Soo.... what do we do to resolve this issue? I think I'll be sending these two photos to the City of Columbus. But as for drinking water, from now on, I'm using the filter!

Have you experienced anything similar with your city water? Post your comments.
